Sentinels™ Enter League of Legends
After the 2025 season, 100 Thieves officially called it quits on League of Legends, ending their era after one final heist that didn’t go their way. As the LCS returns, one chapter of League esports closes so another can begin.

Sentinels - best known as a powerhouse in Riot’s FPS title Valorant - have stepped in to fill the vacant 100T slot, allowing Riot to avoid charging a new franchise fee. This isn’t their first run in the LCS. From 2016 to 2017, the organization competed under the moniker Phoenix1 (P1). When P1 disbanded, the brand shifted focus and rebuilt its identity. Under their new name, Sentinels which took over the Valorant scene in 2021, eventually winning the first international LAN, VALORANT Masters Reykjavík 2021.
Their long-standing relationship with Riot through Valorant now brings them back to League of Legends, where they’ll field a roster ready to compete:
Top: Impact
Jungle: HamBak
Mid: DARKWINGS
ADC: Rahel
Support: huhi
The team looks to enter the LCS swinging. Jeong “Impact” Eon-young and Choi “huhi” Jae-hyun stand out as the two marquee names. Impact, a former SKT T1 world champion in 2013–2014 and most recently a player for Team Liquid, brings a wealth of veteran experience. His honesty about burnout - including the quote, “I am not having fun playing LoL” - highlights the mental toll esports can take. Hopefully a new environment helps him rediscover his passion heading into 2026.
A significant portion of the roster comes from Disguised: DARKWINGS, huhi, and Rahel. Their existing synergy should give Sentinels a head start compared to other teams undergoing full rebuilds.
The final piece, HamBak, is the roster’s wildcard. He has the potential to perform at a very high level in NA after last competing with BRION in the LCK. In 2024, he was one of the standout players on the KT Challengers roster, earning multiple awards. NA fans may be in for treat when this roster hits the rift.
While the Sentinels may have assembled a potential powerhouse on paper. Will they be able to deliver when it counts?
