BaronSteal was founded by 4 friends that play a LOT of League. Despite varying motivations and goals, we’re all connected by our love for the world Riot has created. Those varying interests have allowed us to set up a wide array of content that appeals to any kind of League fan; whether you only follow Esports, obsess over champion design, dig deep into lore, or just want to know what’s happening in the Rift.
At the end of the day, we’re here to make League easier to follow, easier to love, and easier to feel part of.
Matt: I’m Matt, aka Baron Nashor. I was introduced to LoL over 8 years ago by Alec and Sam, and haven’t taken a break since. I’m very interested in the intersection of gaming and psychology - the parallels and lessons we can learn from hours spent clicking on keyboards. For BaronSteal, you’ll find me managing partnerships & strategy, as well as writing lots of opinion pieces.
Alec: Hey! I’m Alec, a part-time Twitch streamer and lifelong gamer. League of Legends has given me unforgettable memories and amazing friends, and it remains the game that defined my passion for esports. To me, League isn’t just a MOBA - it’s where countless coffee-powered nights and friendships first formed. I’m the resident esports writer for BaronSteal, and you can find me on Twitch at BoredAlec.
Fabian: Fabian here. CS Grad, IT Engineer, and long-time League fan. I’ve been playing since Season 2 2012 and have grown alongside the Rift, my 5 stacks, and the BaronSteal team over the years. I’m very excited to show everyone what I got, whether it’s LoL, speedrunning, coding, AI, game design, videos. Heck, even food!
